Shyam Agarwal Elected President of Nopany Alumni Association; New Leadership Team Takes Charge
Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], September 30: The Nopany Alumni Association (NAA) has constituted its new leadership team, with Shyam Agarwal (Batch 2005) taking charge as President of the Association.
The newly constituted team brings together Nopanians from different batches and generations, reflecting the Association’s endeavour to promote greater participation, stronger alumni engagement and institutional continuity.
The Office Bearers are Sushil Mall (1987), Vice President; Sashi Kant Soni (2006), Secretary; Vikram Narsaria (1993), Treasurer; Aasish Mohta (1996), Joint Secretary; and Nikhil Sureka (2002), Joint Treasurer.
The Board of Trustees comprises Narendra Kumar Tulsian (1977), Manish Kiyal (1995), Amit Subhash Jain (1998), Gaurav Mathur (2001), and Sanjay Patel (2007).
On assuming office, President Shyam Agarwal expressed gratitude to the members of the Association for the trust reposed in the new team and acknowledged the contribution of the outgoing leadership in strengthening NAA over the years.
Speaking about the priorities ahead, Agarwal said, “Our endeavour will be to build an inclusive, connected and future-ready NAA where Nopanians across generations have opportunities to engage, contribute and grow together. We want to strengthen the bond between our senior and younger alumni while creating meaningful platforms for networking, mentorship, knowledge-sharing and collaboration.”
The new leadership proposes to focus on stronger engagement across batches, professional and business networking, mentorship and career guidance for younger alumni, knowledge and skill-development initiatives, greater use of technology, preservation of the Association’s legacy and records, and continued strengthening of governance and institutional processes.
The Association will also seek to deepen its engagement with its alma mater and encourage alumni to contribute through their time, knowledge, experience, mentorship and resources.
Emphasising participative governance, the new team has invited all Nopanians to share their ideas and suggestions directly with any Trustee or Office Bearer. The leadership believes that wider participation and open communication will be central to shaping the Association’s initiatives in the coming years.
The new team reiterated that NAA would continue to build on the foundation created by its past leadership while encouraging fresh ideas and participation from alumni across generations.
With the spirit of “Many Batches. One Nopany Family,” the Association looks forward to strengthening its alumni network and taking forward its guiding philosophy of “Network, Reconnect, Empower, Work and Win.”
