New Delhi [India], April 10: The Kenyan Healthcare system has long faced challenges such as limited access to quality medical services, understaffed hospitals, high treatment costs, and an overreliance on imported pharmaceuticals. According to a 2023 World Health Organization (WHO) report, Kenya had only 1.7 doctors for every 10,000 people, which is significantly below the recommended threshold.
Additionally, 47% of Kenyans did not have access to essential healthcare services, which forced many to depend on expensive private hospitals or overcrowded public facilities.
