The league\u2019s first major milestone will arrive on 4 October 2026<\/strong>, when the WCCL Season I Grand Auction takes place in Pune.<\/p>\n

The auction will bring together 10 city-based franchises and a player ecosystem of more than 250 doctors<\/strong>, marking the beginning of the team-building process ahead of the inaugural season.<\/p>\n

Healthcare is a profession built around responsibility, precision and service. Cricket, on the other hand, revolves around teamwork, decision-making, discipline and performance. Each franchise will build a 16-player squad through a combination of pre-selected players and the Grand Auction.<\/p>\n

The geographical journey of WCCL Season I is another defining element of the league.<\/p>\n

The league matches are scheduled to take place from 16 to 20 November 2026 at SPJ Cricket Ground in Lonavala, Pune<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The tournament is then scheduled to move to the UAE, with the Semi-Finals and Final planned for 28 and 29 November 2026 at Farhan Cricket Ground in Sharjah<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This India-to-UAE structure gives the inaugural season an international dimension while creating opportunities for doctors, brands and cricket audiences to engage with the league across markets.<\/p>\n

The transition from a local city-based franchise model to an international final also reflects the ambitions being attached to the property from its first season.<\/p>\n
